Uncommon Supernatural Faith

This morning while seeking the LORD, I was reminded of a word I received a couple of days ago. God had spoke to me that this season God was going to increase his people’s faith. This is a season of increasing our faith.

We need an uncommon supernatural faith for the year ahead. We are about to enter a season of blessings and authority. But to access what God has for us we need faith.

The bible declares that it is impossible to please God without faith. Because we first must believe that God is and that he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him. The bible further declares that Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.

Faith that is not supernatural is not faith. We worship and serve a supernatural God. We serve a spiritual God. We serve and worship a real God.

Faith is more than believing, it is also expectation. We need in this season more than ever to expect God to do great things in us, through us and for us.

If we lack faith All we need do is, ask. Today, take the time to ask God for a supernatural uncommon faith. Want to walk in the miraculous. Want to walk in blessings ask for faith that goes beyond what you have had in the past. Ask God for more.

Are you a modern day Gideon?

Gideon was just a regular guy. Nothing was remarkable about him. He was considered the least of the least in all of Israel. This is in him own eyes at least.

Judges 6:15 And he said unto him, oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.

Gideon was called by God to defeat the Midianites. God like to use the underdog to defeat the mighty. He likes to take the little guy and do big things with their lives. It is how God operates. It is how God works. He makes the least likely to succeed and makes them shine.

You could be a modern day Gideon. You might be just the average guy or gal. You might even consider yourself below average. But God could have great plans for your life.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Nothing is impossible with God. Seek him today and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime.

Are you Established Yet? You will be…

This morning while I was praying before the Lord, he directed me to a place in scripture I have never looked at before.

2 Samuel 5:12  And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel’s sake.

As I meditated on the meaning of this I wondered at how it must have felt for King David to realize that he had at this point ‘arrived’. It must have been one of those ‘ah-ha’ moments. In any case I considered what it was like when I had my own moment when I realized my place in the body. It was like one of those moments. The moment you get it.

The point is knowing when you are established in the place that God would have you. When you have arrived in your ministry or where ever God has led you for so many years. It is the time when you see your prophetic words are being fulfilled. It’s at such moments that we joy in the Lord and leap in our hearts.

The point is that King David realized that God had done something. He realized that God had established him. In other words, the years of waiting were over and now he was king.

If you have ever had a prophetic word about where God was leading you. If you have had any words about your ministry or where God was taking you, wait upon the LORD. Someday your wait will be over. Take the time to thank God now for where he is leading you. It might seem like a long journey, but the day will come when you perceive you have been established.

Friends of God

God. He has many servants. He has many sons and daughters. But God has few friends. At least as we can conceive in our minds what could be a few to God. But in the great scope of humanity God has but few who could even qualify as his friends. God chooses his friends wisely.

By nature, all prophets should be friends of God. But sadly that is not always the case. Not all prophets are even in the will of God. Jonah who ran from God would probably fall into that category of prophet that had a strained relationship with the Father. But this is just a speculation.

Abraham was called God’s friend. He was from our point of view far from perfect. But he had faith. Faith is a requirement if you’re going to be a friend of God. God expects his friends to trust him. Abraham by the way was also called a prophet. But that exceeds the point.

So here are some facts about friendship with God. The Bible declares in Genesis 18, Isaiah 41:8 and in James 2:23 that Abraham was a friend of God.

In John 15:12-15 Jesus called his disciples friends. He said I call you friends because I share everything with you. I don’t keep any secrets from you.

IN Amos 3:7 God indicates that the prophets are in fact his friends because he entrusts his secrets with his prophets.

IN Romans 5:10-11 We are able to ‘joy’ in God because the enmity is broken by the blood of Jesus. IN other words, we can enjoy fellowship with God because now we can be friends with God.

One important key point in seeking friendship with God. You must be spiritual minded. God does not like those who are of a carnal mind. We see this is Romans 8. Take time to read this chapter. It takes on a whole new light when read in the context of being a friend of God.

So here are some important and interesting points about friendship with God.
1. Friendship with God is possible. That’s right, it’s a possible, attainable goal.
2. Friendship with God has it’s advantages. Consider the most powerful being in the universe being your friend. It is staggering to think about isn’t it.
3. Friendship with God is not natural, it’s supernatural. God is a spirit and to be in a relationship with him will always be a supernatural experience.
4. Friendship with God requires a commitment.
5. Friendship with God requires you keep his secrets in confidence. As a friend of God, he will share things that he doesn’t want shared with others.
6. Friendship with God requires faith.
7. God chooses his friends wisely.

Here are some keys to being friends with God:

1. Be humble. Humility is a big thing with God.
2. Make a commitment to being his friend.
3. Seek his face. Look for opportunities to be intimate with God. Worship and prayer are keys to seeking time with God.
4. Take time to read the Bible. Get to know God by his word.
5. Have faith in God. Learn to trust him inn all things.
6. Have a forgiving heart.
7. Love others. Learn to emulate his character.

In conclusion we see that friendship with God is an amazing journey for those who are brave enough to peruse it.  . If you seek friendship with God you will be amazed at how he reciprocates.

Being a Prophetic People

Being a prophetic people is more than hearing what is being said in heaven and declaring it in the earth. It is much more than that.

It is being a people who as a company or community take what they know is God’s will from heaven and enforcing it in the earth. It is a people who from the heart say, “ your will be done on earth as it is in heaven”.

Prophetic Ministry

The prophetic ministry is one that is unique. Of the many ministries which God has ordained, the prophetic is uniquely equipped as a bridge between two worlds. In the prophetic expressions of the mind, will and heart of God, the gaps between the Heaven and earth are closed.

Heart’s Cry

that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
Philippians 3:10-11

The goal of knowing Jesus is the principle search of the human heart. The intimacy that is offered to us as believers was the highest goal in the life of the apostle Paul. Being made conformable to his death and attaining to the power of the resurrection for the dead is only secondary to that first desire. The desire of that closeness with whom we were created to be close to is our primary objective. Eternal life, divine health and well being, and spiritual wealth are but byproducts.
To become the friend of God is the one focus of the redeemed heart of man. What are you seeking for? What does your heart really thirst for. What is your soul hungry for? Is it to be in the presence of the Jesus?
There is the place of beginning. A place where your heart is so thirsty for being united with the father. Where it is as if you feel that nothing else matters, no matter what. You have to get closer to God. As if you would die without it.

The end of Eli’s Era and the Start of The Samuel age….. April 2010

The end of an Eli age has past, the world has changed forever. Now the church is playing catch up, but now we will see an end. The church will now begin to pass the rest of the world in relevance.

Yes indeed this is an end of an era. Eli, the self-exalting ministries that cannot be touched with the feelings and infirmities of the rest of the body are dying off one by one. These ministries were very impressive. They had a form of Glory, but their hearts were not with God. Their hearts were in the byproducts of God. The two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas were greed and deception. They would do what they had to build, protect, and promote their own ministries.
Samuel on the other hand was one who was faithful to the desires and wishes of God. The word of the Lord concerning him was, “he would do all that was in God’s heart and mind”. The old order of priesthood had no prophetic insight. The new priesthood is founded in prophetic revelation.

Presently, it is not commonplace to see the prophetic in operation in most churches. It is not really part of the mainstream. Now the church will have to become more adept at hearing the voice of God. This is the decade for a great turning around.
