Mercy – Times and Seasons
This morning before the Lord I was seeking his word. He took me to a place in scripture where he says that he changes the times and the seasons.
(20) Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
(21) And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
(22) He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.
I find this encouraging.
Last night when under the anointing I shared with someone that we make our own times and seasons. We do it by the decisions we make. But I knew there was more to it.
So this morning God reminded me of his sovereignty. He reminded me that no matter what he is in control.
Sometimes we schedule a certain season for our lives by the mistakes we make. But God can preempt our situation. He can decree a different set circumstance over our lives than the one we set for ourselves.
He does this because of his love for us. He doesn’t do this always. Sometimes his love requires we experience the fruit of our actions. But there are times God will pull us up out of our ‘world’ and set us on solid ground.
Today let’s give thanks for God’s mercy in setting this season over our lives.
